Dickie: Group Camp '06

Thursday, June 15, 2006

hey hey!! Group Camp 06 is over.. finally.. it was damn bloody tiring la.. SK all the way... blisters, muscle stretched and so on.. i cant believe i survived all the 4 days.. eventho i broke down on the first.. coz i was seriously mentally drained after all the first aid preparation, late nites and the packing of the flagpole, gateway and shelter.. wa seh.. i've never been so committed before... but its okay.. it was all worth it.. i actually learnt a thing or two bout stress management, distribution of tasks and etc..

On the first day.., upon reaching sarimbun., it was raining cats n dogs and we had to unload the spars and equipments down from the lorry.. and had to build the flagpole in the rain.. we did a normal 1,1,1, flagpole first coz the soil was too soft to build a floating flagpole. we then pitched 3 tents for all the ventures... the tents were'nt those dome LJ tents la.. it was the ridge tent.. it's harder to pitch and its much more difficult to maintain.. we then carried on doing the shelter... bloody hell.. by tt time.. quite tired already..

Later on in the evening... the other ventures started to show up and i was so relieved,... we then went to do the gateway.. when some of em went for backwoodsman cooking.
blah blah blah
it was the last nite, Jo & i had to plan the campfire... i didnt have appetite during the Grand dinner... darn it.. wasnt feeling well actually... wanted to vomit.. but tahan... tahan!! didnt have much sleep for the past few weeks... and drank very little water.. and the bloody weather.. it was either Raining, or Blazing hot... niwae.. after the grand dinner.. We had our campfire.. which was rather Ok la.. last minute work lei.. wat to expect..
After the campfire.., most of the ventures went back.. leaving Me, Jo, Vin, Fuming, Skd, Angela, Wr to settle the Sai Kang.. THANX TO THOSE VENTURES WHO WENT HOME EARLY.. LOVE U PEOPLE SO MUCH... u people could have at least stike down ur own tents la.. u letf us to strike down the Gateway, Flagpole, 4 tents... and the worst part is... the next days.. we had to load all the spars and equipments up the lorry ourselves.. like WTF!?!? the scouts couldnt help coz they were bz folding their tents...

The fuck thing was... the scouts went back early... leaving us folding their tents all over again... all the tents were rejected.. GG la... so.. not only do we had to fold them, we had to clean the mud off them... luckily the rovers n leaders helped out...

The thing tt i cant understand is that.. those Ventures who knew that there were loads to do during the last day.. they still insist to go home and leave the rest of us to suffer... i mean.. where's the brotherhood?? where's the sympathy?? aahh FUCK!! WHER'S YOUR FUCKING HEART?!! i was so so so disappointed.. seriously sia.. if only every single one of you would say to yourselves... "hey, cmon.. we are ventures.. we may not bond very well.. but its my responsibilty as an individual to make things happen... to make a difference.." if only..

Most of you gave excuses saying that u have school... c'mon la.. u nv pon school before?? ask urselves that.. i may not ask this questions right infront of your faces.. because u all are adults.. and i expect u all to think for yourselves...

After the camp, i was down with fever, stomach flu, head/body aches and watnots... must have been the weather la., im now stuck at home.. and i cant even go out and enjoy the world cup with my peeps,.. This rox la..
